Dascyllus aruanus - The Three Stripe Damselfish is a reef safe damselfish with contrasting black and white stripes. This species is an exceptionally hardy saltwater fish and makes an excellent beginner fish. The typical adult size is only around 3" in length, and the minimum tank size is 30 gallons or more.
They're interesting enough to keep in species-only groups, and they even commonly spawn in home aquariums. They are compatible with other aggressive species in large tanks. They will not eat ornamental shrimps, corals, clams, or invertebrates.
Feeding on DKI pellets, Hikari spirulina brine shrimp, PE and Calanus, a varied diet of frozen meaty foods and Masstick.
